Description

Malakoff Cromesquis Style: It is a ball of Gruyère AOP coated with a little nutmeg and chervil.


Ingredients

Scale

For about ten pieces:

  • 1 kg of Gruyère AOP (500 g salted and 500 g unsalted)
  • 100 g of cream
  • 100 g of chopped herbs (chervil)
  • Pepper

For the breading:

  • 1 egg
  • Flour
  • Ground toasted breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Put the Gruyère AOP in a bowl and mix with cream, chopped herbs, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls and place them in the freezer.
  3. Roll the frozen balls in the breading twice.
  4. Fry in a deep fryer for 1 minute, then let rest for 30 seconds.
  5. Fry again for 2 minutes.

Notes

Serve the Malakoff balls with a nice salad and enjoy them with friends or family as a mini fondue !
