Public authorities and foundations’ support

Innovation Tourism

The Swiss Confederation, Department of Economic Affairs (SECO) manages the Innotour fund, for whom encouraging innovation is priority No. 1. Innotour aims to foster climate favorable innovation, stimulate this activity and thus strengthen the competitiveness of destinations. The promotion of innovation must target the weak points in the tourism offering, with measures aimed primarily at improving existing services and opening up new niches. Innotour supports the nationwide roll-out of the "Fait Maison" label in restaurants open to the public, from 2024 to 2028.

Swiss Wine

Swiss Wine Promotion (SWP) is the national promotion agency for Swiss wines. SWP is mandated by the Interprofession de la Vigne et du Vin Suisse (IVVS) to promote the image of Swiss wine at home and abroad, and to manage the marketing, communications, media and image strategy and its implementation. SWP launched the Swiss Wine Gourmet label to promote Swiss wines in the catering trade. A joint Swiss Wine Gourmet and Label Fait Maison campaign began in 2024 to strengthen B2B/B2C synergies between homemade food and Swiss wines.

Ville de Genève

Joining the Label Fait Maison was an obvious choice for the City of Geneva, determined to offer its residents and tourists a selection of committed and diversified restaurants, focused above all on quality. What better way to achieve this than with a label that fights against the standardization of tastes? The Fait Maison label is also one of the distinctions that can be awarded in Geneva's "À table" gastronomic competition.

Ville de Genève

Lausanne promotes high-quality, environmentally-friendly food in its school canteens and professional cafeterias. Its Plan de Restauration Collective Durable (RCD) promotes local sourcing and labeling, as well as high standards of nutritional quality. The Fait Maison label has been part of the RCD II since 2020, and is now displayed in all the City of Lausanne's collective kitchens and almost all its concession kitchens.

Ville de Fribourg

Supporting the Label Fait Maison (a label awarded to restaurants that entirely or mostly prepare their dishes in their own kitchens) is a natural progression for the City of Fribourg, which, after serving as City of Taste 2023, joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of gastronomy. The label promotes values that the City is keen to champion among its partners and local stakeholders: authenticity, local sourcing and sustainability. Indeed, the Label Fait Maison represents a first step towards sustainability, and offers regional establishments a way of engaging while also respecting their operational autonomy. For these reasons, the City of Fribourg has decided to support the Label Fait Maison and promote its values among its partners.
