Auberge du Lion d’Or
The Auberge du Lion in Versoix boasts walls dating back to the 1500s, hosting an inn that has been in operation for over 150 years. Its name originates from the Middle Ages, when an innkeeper coined the term “au lit on dort” (in bed we sleep) to differentiate his establishment as a “serious” lodging house from the typical brothels of the time.
